Voice Casting | What's Left At Zero
A small narrative game being built for a game-jam. This casting call covers the
voice work for the opening vignette, "Marlowe, Go For Launch": a single
scene set in the final countdown before a solo launch.
This is an unpaid, credit-only game-jam project. You'll be credited in the
game, and you're welcome to use your recorded lines (with game visuals) in a demo reel.
Roles
CAPCOM: Male
Mission control. Calm, procedural, unbothered: the voice of a job being done
correctly.
- The countdown call-outs, "Ten" through "One" (10 short lines)
- 2 additional short procedural lines (cabin configuration readback, comm check)
Recording: Female
A single line, heard as a static-laced phone recording rather than a live
voice. Something half-finished that was never meant to be played back.
- 1 line
Marlowe: Female (lead)
The pilot. The character carrying the vignette. Quiet, controlled, a little
worn. Someone running through procedure to keep from sitting with what's
underneath it.
- 8 lines, mostly internal/personal in tone
What to submit
Read for whichever role(s) interest you, happy to receive auditions for more
than one. Dry recording is fine, no need for processing or reverb. WAV or a
high-quality MP3/OGG both work.
