"copying word by word" - sevanto took several phrases from other people's work. even if it isn't copying the entire thing, it is still plagarising parts of a piece of writing. you can't just claim a quote as your own bffr.

c&p ing an entire section from my first doc because it feels like you didn't read it properly!

_anonymous:
Maybe alphas who'd send explicit pictures before even saying hi, betas who were all bark and no bite, and maybe even omegas asking if you were ever interested in topping.
sevanto:
Dan Heng believed he would only find alphas who'd send pictures of their dicks before even saying hello or betas attempting to romance him via text, maybe even the rare omega asking if he topped or was willing to do so out of curiosity.

why are these in the exact same order. why are they basically describing the same actions (apart from the beta part.) why couldn't they be the other way around. the point of these paragraphs are also exactly the same. even if you don't think it's 'plagarised' it's definitely not a coincidence.

if you don't mind, explain exactly why this quote in particular is just "inspiration", not straight up copying.

* definition of copying: make a similar or identical version of; reproduce. just if you needed it!

in my opinion, i think it's quite rude to take inspiration from other writers w/o asking for permission. many other fanfic authors — don't allow other people to translate or take inspiration from their fics, and it is clearly stated. so why do you think that permission to get inspiration is a given and that you don't need to ask beforehand? it simply... doesn't add up. why can't i just copy a few of sevanto's paragraphs and put it in my own works? do you realise how bad that sounds?

for example, if you borrow a pencil, you ask for it first. you don't take it from someone, and you certainly don't claim that it's your pencil and show it off publicly. common sense I fear 😭😭😭

next comment.

ok, id just like you to think for a moment... I also stated this in my first doc. Sevanto has no forms of contact on their page, other than a request form that was closed at the time. would you hand out your discord, instagram, tiktok, whatever you use to a stranger who just asked for it? Probably not. I don't blame you.

also, am i supposed to be considerate to someone who blatantly took inspiration without proper credit? if they can publicly declare that the idea is their own, i think it's perfectly fine to publicly call them out on it.

why does it matter that the work isn't even mine? If you saw someone claim that the Mona Lisa was their own painting or something, would you just walk by and pretend nothing happened? where is your sense of justice? why do you think it my fault that i wanted to show that another person did something Wrong.? please. literally make me understand ur point of view because i see nothing.
